Description

4 1/2″ diameter

Hand blown round ball  glass ornament after Wyspianski roses fresco at the famous St. Francis of Assisi church of Krakow Poland.  In 1885 the  the eastern part of the church was covered with murals by the founder of the young  Poland Stanislaw Wyspianski, a contemporary of Gustav Klimt. The murals are mostly of flowers, and the roses are one of the amazing murals in the church. It has been adapted into a glorious tree ornament. Following Wyspiaski, the pink roses are set against a transparent -see through  green background. The roses are very detail and almost pop out of the ornament, really glorious.  A magnificent ornament paying homage to a great church and  one of Poland’s  preeminent painter.
