Description

4 1/2″ diameter.

The Tatra Mountain Range, is the tallest range in the Carpathian Mountains. The Tatra form a natural border between Poland and Slovakia, and cover parts of southern Poland.  The Tatra Mountain landscape is somewhat reminiscent of the Alps, with similar fauna & flora. They are a popular destination for hiking, camping and skying in Poland. Pope John Paul II was an avide sportsman, and spent many a days hiking, skying and camping in the mountains, surrounded by his friends and parishioners. The mountain regions, were also a refuge from the overbearing hated Communist regime. This ornament was made to remind his Holiness of these days.
