Wyspianski’s Irises hand-blown Christmas ornament
Hand blown round ball glass ornament after Wyspianski irises fresco at the famous St. Francis of Assisi church of Krakow Poland. In 1885 the the eastern part of the church was covered with murals by the founder of the young Poland Stanislaw Wyspainski, a contemporary of Gustav Klimt. The murals are mostly of flowers, and the irises are one of the amazing murals in the church. It has been adapted into a glorious tree ornament. Following Wyspiaski, the white and blue irises are set against a transparent dark royal blue background. A magnificent ornament paying homage to a great church and painter.
