4 1/2″ diameter, round ball, glass Christmas ornament. A quintessential view of the Polish country side. The village with the towering Church, and the forest enveloping it. Pope John Paul II loved the Polish countryside, where he hiked, skied, climbed mountains and camped (some place where he visited frequently have plaques commemorating the route). Leaving town to the countryside with his students, parishioners, and friends, enabled him to escape the detested Communist regime which he was so instrumental as Pope in abolishing.
