Last of NY Subway 100th anniversary ornaments.

The  ornament was created uniquely for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the New York Subway in 2004 in a very limited edition. These are the last ones remaining and by now they are truely collector’s item.  The ornament was made in the shape of a round token, like the very popular tokens used to enter the Subway from the 1950’s until the early 2000’s. On one side of  the token on the top and the bottom are two paralel glittered raised lines with the word anniversary below the top line and above the lower line. In between them in raised letters  the number 100 is carved. On the other side of the token is a golden Subway car against the highrise world’s farmous skyline of New York City,  while under the Subway car is a circle with the MTA logo. Above the Subway car and the New York Skyline is a line  saying 1904-2004 in shiny gold letter.  Just like on the Subway’s tokens on the outer edge of that side of the token is an inner circle with the words The New York Subway going clockcwise, and the word A Century of Progress in Motion going counter clockwise. The sides of the round token are fully glittered in shimmering gold glitter.
